Flock of Birds

A flock scattering upward in silhouette, birds shrinking with distance until the farthest are single brushstrokes. The design uses that fading scale to create depth, a whole sky implied on a few square inches of skin. It reads as release: of worry, of a season, of whatever needed letting go.

Size & Placement

The 4.3 x 7 inch spread suits sweeping placements, across the shoulder blade, up the forearm, or along the ribcage. Position the smallest birds trailing toward a hem or strap line and the flock looks like it is escaping the frame.
